The 20th Annual New Works Festival Presents...
Four original, full-length plays selected from those submitted to the 2010 Long Beach Playhouse 20th Annual New Works Festival will be given directed, staged readings this spring. The Festival is part of our ongoing commitment to help established and emerging playwrights develop new work. To date, 18 NEW WORKS have evolved from staged readings into full productions at the Playhouse. There is a suggested donation of $10 with a post-performance discussion. Staged reading of the following new plays: The Lost Tribe by Jeff Stolzer on March 27, The Restoration of Sight by Richard Martin Hirsch on April 24, The Old Bird by Lynn Wells Nelson on May 29 and Upside-Down by Marcia Slatikin on June 26. 4th Annual Wine Tasting Event
WomenShelter of Long Beach will be hosting our 4th annual Wine Tasting event at the exclusive Bixby Mansion in Long Beach. This special evening will feature a wine tasting, silent and live auctions, hors d'oeuvres, live entertainment and a book signing by the Real Housewives of Orange County’s (Bravo TV) Vicki Gunvalson, who will be honored for her work in raising awareness about domestic violence.
